Before visits
- Carry government ID and employment / admission proof
- Decide max budget including food and travel

During visits
- Visit in daylight and check bathroom, water, and ventilation
- Ask about electricity billing, food timing, guest policy, and notice period
- Confirm what the quoted rent includes
Before paying
- Get deposit terms in writing

- Take photos of the exact room allotted
